Summertime!

I haven't posted in a while so here goes:

I'm home for the weekend...to celebrate Father's day and a belated parent's anniversary (it was last Sunday). I realized I am going to be a very unsatisfactory handyman around the house. I went to Lowes today and it was a dull and pathetic experience. However I can clean gutters! My dad and I were supposed to put up our garden misters...you know those things that spray a nice spritz of water in your face. Well we didn't have the correct drillbit. Oh well.

MCAT has been kind of consuming my life and I think I am okay with that. It's what I want.

I love the feeling of nostalgia. Today I had a meal that brought back a flood of memories of life in Hong Kong. It made me want to go back and just sight see and be a tourist. I had Dosa with Clear Sweet Corn Soup. I know it sounds like a weird combination, but it was my favorite at this one restaurant that we went to, Bruntos. And as I ate it tonight I couldn't think of an English phrase to describe it, at best it was, in Tamil, "Naan rasichi saaptaen."
It, the restaurant, is probably not there anymore--it was this hole in the wall Indian place. Eric, you can go check and tell me. Also, Crocs are a cause of aches and pains in the foot and legs! I'm watching the news as I am typing. "it's like walking on flimsy rubber!" lol.

Austin in summer has been amazing. I love the chill atmosphere, and it's allowed me to experience Austin and not just college. This week looks good: Monday Afternoon with Deepa, Tuesday Night Blazers Hosting for the Presidential Reception, Wednesday Night Moonlight Row, Saturday Schlitterbahn!

I officially got pay for summer lab figured out too! Also the greenhouse on top of Welch is amazingly peaceful. I see the skyline, hear the quiet, feel the breeze. ah. I feel on top of the world there.

OMG I got a new planner!!!

Also my favorite TV couple is Tony & Michelle, followed by Sydney and Vaughn, then Penny and Desmond. The more sexual tension the better.

I finished Catcher in the Rye and I enjoyed it. Very amusing. Until I catch up on MCAT stuff, no more pleasure reading, but the next one is Grapes of Wrath.

Any other reading suggestions? I have one recommendation: False Impression
